The ultimate guide to closet essential!!

It’s not like I told you, you need a t-shirt ~ofcourse you need a t-shirt but like how am I supposed to choose a good t-shirt, and what brand should I buy it from, and what’s an affordable option, and a more expensive option.

So those are the things that I am hopefully going to include here.

  • Why invest in basics?

For a lot of people investment in basics is a hard process because it just sucks😅 to spend, you know 1000, 2000 on something that looks so not exciting.

But see these basics as building blocks of your wardrobe and you can’t get to it, like the top of the fashion tower, without having a solid foundation.

  • Jeans

Finding good jeans is like finding a fucking rare Pokemon like you really have to hunt them down.

Everyone is going to have different jeans preferences but here are some of my main criteria for finding the perfect pair of jeans.

I always look for a high rise or you may call it high waist jeans.

Secondly, I look for a straight fit throughout the legs something that feels a little bit vintage inspired a little bit more grown-up than a jegging.

Thirdly, I look at where it ends on the ankle. I think if it is long and hits the floor isn’t a problem…because folding jeans the wrong way can never get out of fashion. But ankle length is the best you can have.

The last criteria are fabric. Everybody wants stretchy denim, coz it’s more comfortable and all, but I recommend having a kind of stiff material jeans. And not ripped in the crotch like most of my jeggings did.

  • Demin shorts

I like my shorts to be long and not show my butt line, but then again we are comfortable wearing something different. I am good with both tight fitting and A line cut shorts. Because you know, you need to show your curves and sometimes sweating is too much to handle.

  • Black boots

Now these come in couple different styles, I will give you a few examples. I love them because they last for a few decades.

One to own is the best which are weatherproof and comfortable to walk around a lot in.

I know these are not basic…but mind it, they are types of boots!!
  • White sneakers

These go with every thing out there, and mind me, it does.

There, you might find kind of design but they don’t vary much.

  • Nude block heels

Now why block?

Because they a more comfortable, simple!!😘

Now, nude goes with everything and mostly blends in with your skin color and your legs feel elongated and the heel will add to your height.

  • Bras + Bralettes
  • Black + White t-shirts

You may think t-shirts are like all the same, same cuts, same fabrics, but no they are different.

Go to different shops try on different t-shirts, you will know it too.

Look at the shoulders, are the sleeves flattering your arms?

  • White blouse

Any fancy top that can make the top and jeans a good outfit. I look for wide necklines if it is tight fitting so that I can show-off my collarbone area. And also little detail that may elevate it. For e.g.

This too has small balls that give a cute look to it. And the sleeves…. I love the vintage look they give.

  • Black turtle neck

Now, I personally don’t like turtle neck, but wait there is a valid reason for why I don’t like

I have a short neck, almost like it does not exist, because of some postural problems.

But, I am recommending them because they are perfect for layering. And black because you know, it goes with everything 😍😍

  • Little pattern dress

Now a little black dress will be classic but other colors and patterns are lovely aren’t they? And it also feels like an age of reformation…

Please look for something with good fit, and what fits good?

Anything thing with a zipper is gods gift, just kidding!

But, zipper helps flattering your body type a lot.

That’s all for this time, will meet you soon, take care sweeties😘😘

Won’t it match your personality if you are tall, and love edgy colours???

How to find your style? Or be fashionable or stylish?

How to find your style, and confidence to wear it?

  • Assess your wardrobe

I want you to start with your wardrobe because it can be too intimidating to build a whole new wardrobe from scratch, what your style is…

The best place to start is wardrobe because you have things in your hand to see what you’re confident in…

Now, many of us have some pieces that we love, those pieces which define us to the next level. But we just haven’t bought the rest of the wardrobe around to fit those, like, pieces which we love. So here’s what to do,

Try tracking the clothes you wear for a week or 2...

There couple of ways to do it

  1. Move the clothes you have worn to a different place or section.
  2. You can turn around the hanger hooks to keep it simple

Once you have the clothes, you need to figure what those clothes have in common,

  1. Their fitting
  2. Or do you prefer jeans?
  3. Or are you into body-hugging clothes more?
  4. What about the color scheme? Do you like pastels or are you more into black and white clothing more?
  5. Or is there a certain brand whose material and fitting you like more?
  6. What is their comfort level? Something we mostly overlook.

I grew with this misconception that you have to always suffer or be uncomfortable to be fashionable.

I think that’s where we have a bad relation with fashion because we’ll buy them tight, bodycon dress that we frankly are uncomfortable wearing.

Now once you have a rough idea of what you are comfortable in, what color scheme you like, maybe a certain brand, or fitting, you are ready to dive into the next step.

  • Finding inspiration

So this is the fun part,

You can scroll through, Instagram, Pinterest, Old movies, Old magazines, and runway shows… And call it to research, because it technically is😉

We are looking for style inspiration, not a reason to hate ourselves. I will put some pages that I personally like scrolling through

Pinterest can really be something…

Before you scroll through something you don’t like, figure the thing that you don’t like

Maybe the neon in this is too bright for you.
Or are these braids to much….and your style is more mature?
Or do I not like the gingham print on her dress, or what is wrong with me? It is the best print.

Ask yourself: what is different in your style that you don’t like in that outfit and the same thing for the ones you like,

Is the dress too flattering on her?
Or do I like the color scheme here?

These are the things that can point you towards what style you might like

Whatever you like save those up, do you can zoom out to more the 1 or 2 outfits…

This could go two ways, you are drawn towards more pastel girly colors, their dresses, or towards the edgy ones more, dark color ones more.

But for most of us, it can be a mix up of things,

Ask yourself is this something that reflects my personality, do I see myself wearing it, does this fit into my lifestyle?

It can also turn out that you don’t have a single style, I don’t, I can’t just go with a single style, you should not box yourself in it.

Now that you have the pictures sorted, and maybe your style too now time to go SHOPPING!!!

Even if you are probably feeling really good about your style and want to buy a whole new wardrobe, I would suggest,

Please. Do. Not. Do. That

Impulsive buying will fill your whole wardrobe and you end up wearing the same thing again and again throughout the year.

So here’s a trick try choosing 5 outfits that you see yourself looking at repeatedly. List those five down…

And keep your vision straight and don’t let other pieces divert you.

You are on a mission, where you have to buy the things you noted or saved.

Once you buy them, bring them home, and wear them for a couple of months, upgrade your save list, find something new style, keep upgrading!!

  • Practice practice practice

Everything needs practice, even being fashionable does.

People think being fashionable is not something you practice but are born with, it’s absolute shit. You need to practice everything.

Out effort in putting an outfit together. The effort is what it takes, you can’t expect to be stylish like celebrities overnight.

Save 10 minutes for your outfit, and 5 to get it together, you will have to spend more time…

With that saying, I will see you off and take care, and practice!!!!

Tip for short heights girls?

When someone looks at us, they see us from up to down, or down to up.

They would never see you from left to right, or right to left.

Therefore your structure, should not be cut anywhere. I will give you an example,

You can take a look at the picture, she has worn a striped sweater, which is dividing her body in parts, it means your vision is also divided and she seems to be short.

You can see that your clothes can also be responsible for your body to look short, so here is what you can do…

#Shift Your Waist Line…

Two things to do

1. Shift it up

Here are your legs… That is lower body seems long…

2. Shift it down

Here your torso… That is upper body seems long

This is how you can shift your waist line and look taller…
